Ainsley’s Angels of America aims to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life. Serving as advocates to providing education and participating as active members in local communities, we believe everyone deserves to be included. – December 29th – Carolina Beach Trail Half and 5K (Carolina Beach) Carolina Beach State Park Half Marathon & 5K is a grassroots trail race in Carolina Beach, NC. With 13.1 and 3.1 mile courses, all levels of speed and ability are allotted an opportunity to race in one of the most unique setting in North Carolina. With rolling pine laced single track along the coast, participants have tons of interesting terrain to take-in while they put out max effort for unique prizes. – January 19th – Southern Tour Ultra (Swag Cutoff December 19th) Southern Tour Ultra has grown into what is knows as Wilmington, NC Woodstock of Running. This is 2 day camping, running, bon fire, family fun atmosphere that brings athletes and friends from all over NC to spend 2 days in the woods. STU has a 50 mile open, 50K Open and 50 mile age graded team relay with $1000 overall prize. – February 9th – Valentines Double Trouble (Swag Cutoff January 14th) The Valentines Double Trouble has a 5K and 10K that you can compete in one or both races in the same morning. These are flat, fast courses in cool Southeast NC weather – March 8 and 9 – NHRMC Wrightsville Beach Marathon Madness (Swag Cutoff February 1st) Southeastern North Carolina’s biggest road race with an estimated 4000 participants, the #wbmarathon is in it’s 10th year and has a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 26.2 mile relay, 5K Glow Run, and 1 mile Glow Run. Don’t miss the event of the year at the beginning of March! – UPSTATE ULTRA SERIES Upstate Ultra’s is owned and operated by Without Limits Coach Matthew Hammersmith of Greenville, SC. UU’s mission is to help the running community grow through empowering the individual with opportunities to set new goals, and overcome obstacles. We consider every man and woman to have enough power to challenge themselves to the point of failure. If you and a friend would like to commit to one of our Ultra Race. See schedule below. – NORTH CAROLINA TRIATHLON SERIES (NCTS) The NCTS has been around since the late 90s making it 21 years old. Triathlons have been around since the late 70s and have grown into large races all over the world. The NCTS offers a wide range of triathlons from sprints, olympics, halves and formula 1 series races. Remember as an athlete, these types of races shape the sport and give athletes opportunities to improve! Support your local triathlons.
