WOL Charleston athletes are SPRINTING to the top!

Congratulations to all our incredible athletes who raced, paced, cheered (and even drank…) their way to podium finishes this summer. We are very excited for fall training and fall racing!

Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series Championship Race
Adam Rose
(in his first triathlon in a long time!) placed in the top half of the highly competitive 35-39 AG! Way to come back strong Adam.
Amy Cooper placed 2nd in her AG for Race #5 and WON her AG for the entire series! Amy, your training, drive and hard work is incredible. Keep it up!
Anne-Patrick Moore had her best bike split of the season and placed 7th out of 27 in her AG for the series. Way to represent Anne-Patrick.
Coach Chris placed 4th overall with a new PR at Race #5 and finished 3rd overall for the series.
Cynthia Wahl placed 5th in her AG for Race #5 and placed 4th out of 24 in her AG for the series. Way to go!
Jesse Leonard finished his season with a PR, 4th place AG finish for Race #5, and finished 3rd out of 42 in his AG for the series. So impressed by all your hard work.
John Forney joined us for his first and only CSTS race for the year and placed 2nd in his AG, just 9 seconds behind 1st place. Not too bad off after half-iron training.
Patrick Brooks was 11th overall with a bike PR (sub-30!) and finished 10th out of 34 in the men’s open/elite division for the series! This was Patrick’s first year racing open and he is moving closer and closer to the podium.

Copperhead 20K Relay
Adam and Andrea Rose
teamed up as Team Rosebuds to compete at the Copperhead 20k relay in Wilmington.

High School Cross Country
Cortez Gonzalez
kicked off his cross country season with a win at a dual meet between Berkeley HS and Timberland HS. Cortez won the race with a new 5k PR of 17:26!
