WOL Athletes Trot their way to TOP finishes

Running is like coffee. I’m much nicer after I’ve had one!

Wilmington Half Marathon
There were so many incredible Without Limits Ladies out representing in a big way! Brittany Perkins wins overall running with her training partner Karen Eckberg who took 2nd place (not even a second behind her). Both ladies crushed the course clocking fantastic times of 1:23:27 and 1:23:38! And 4 minutes behind them was Ryan Hilton who placed 4th overall and 1st in AG with an excellent time of 1:27:58. Way to take top 4!
The amazing Melissa Quaranto is back after having her 2nd baby and clocking 1:35:17 placing her 3rd in AG. So impressive Melissa!
Kersten Parrella did her senior project on running a half marathon. Her training was awesome and she finished in 1:45:49. Way to take on 2 challenges! You already aced the race and we know you’ll ace the paper too.
Allison Shofe had a fantastic race and clocked 1:46:26, and right on her heels was Kelli Kerkhoff who placed 2nd in AG with a 1:47:39
Molly Ryan is new to Without Limits and worked HARD for this race and boy did it show! With an awesome time of 1:59:07, she and running partner Sarah Huettl (1:59:35) rocked the race and paced each other to great finishes.
Janet Coleman was all smiles after her race. She did a great job with a time of 2:25:40.
Becky McGhee had never done 13.1 miles before she took on Battleship Half Marathon. and now two weeks later she’s done it twice and bettered her time by 2mins with a PR of 2:24:40!
Christine Bean took 3rd place in AG with a 2:23:13 time. That’s 2 podiums in 2 weeks! Nice job Chris! Adding to the list of great finishes: Shawn Tunis – 1:50:26 PR; Kathryn Collins – 1:53:47; Pam Dieffenbach – 1:59:55; Chris Bean – 2:23 and 3rd in AG;; and Patricia Bennett ran a stellar 2:35:17. Congratulations to all our incredible WOL Ladies.

Hampstead Turkey Trot
Our Dynamic Duos Phillip and Diana Davis trotted their way to 1st and 2nd in AG 55-59. Laurie finished the race without walking and with a new PR! So proud of you Laurie.
Mary Lessard clocked in at 42:22 PR and 3rd in AG. Awesome work Mary!
Shawn Wellersdick ran for fun and did just that, had fun! It’s always good to see Shawn on the course, smiles all around!

Goose Creek Trail Race
Shawn Horton trained hard and successfully completed a negative split on a tough course. The race was 11 miles this year and he was 6th overall and 2nd in AG!  Nice work Shawn.

Tennessee 5K
Casey Henrie won $300 by winning a 5K in Tennessee (only 4 months post 2nd baby)!  Way to go Casey! 5ks are great to add to your marathon training. Excited to see you run the WB Marathon.

Myrtle Beach 8K
Susan Shafer ran in a tight AG and separated herself by seconds with 4th place.

WB Turkey Trot
It should be nick named, WOL PR Race!
Erik Rasmussen placed 3rd overall with a 16:40! Nice time for a 42 year old dad!
Allie Kassesns is back under 19! She clocked 18:59 and took 2nd female overall.
Lindsey Hess and Shelley Malloy ran together prepping for Kiawah with 21:40s! Great training race ladies.
Kyle Shepard is getting close to the sub 19 marker again clocking a 19:11. You got this!
Ray Caffee lead the way for the Caffee Family with a solid 21:15 time.
Tracy McCullen had a HUGE PR running 20:02 (his previous best of 20:40 was annihilated). Almost under 20 Tracy!
Quinn Sosne brought home a new PR of 20:58, awesome job.
Kim Post also had a HUGE PR of 27:37!  Her goal was to break 30….ummm crushed it!
Katie Elzer-Peters had a huge PR, slashing 4:40 off her time. Katie was enthusiastic as usual and had a blast.
Ginny Cockrum was paced by John Cockrum and had a fun family thanksgiving run, 31:02, along with Ron and Jen George.
Russ May is an integral part of the Turkey Trot having served on the CFH Board for 10 years!  Russ is the man and is always running to stay healthy and fit!
Tricia Bennett raced 2 weekends in a row with great times and big smiles!
Myra Rasmussen was at both the Turkey Trot and Black Friday Dash, great runs! Looks like she’s getting back into running shape!
Anthony Enoch was also at both Turkey Trot and Black Friday.  If you know Anthony, you would probably be able to guess he was gong to be at both races! #support #yoanthony
Kyle Phillips ran a strong 19:47, along with Charles Buckland with a 25:06, congrats team!
Jen Devers is starting her winter base training by pacing kids! This is a perfect way to stay “on pace” with your off training.

 

Boalsburg 5K turkey Trot
Christine Bean ran a cold and hilly 5k with her family in College State PA and placed 2nd AG. way to go Chris!

Footlocker XC Charlotte
The Without Limits Youth team brought over 60 runners to Footlocker South Regionals in Charllote NC.  Runners come from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, and U.S.

The first race of the day is the “OPEN” race which allows coaches and non-high school athletes to race.  WOL had an awesome showing with Coach Aaron Kolk leading the way with a post triathlon season 5K of 16:28.  Peyton Thomas won for the women with a 17:30. Bridget Philips won masters overall.  Coach Colin Hackman took a top 20 finish and Peyton Chitty PRed with a 19:55 his first sub 20:00 5K.  Josh Adams rocked it out with a mid 19s finish!  Justin Fischetti is always setting an example for his athletes with a 17:28. Way to go team.

 

Turkey Chase at Umstead 20k
Burning up the trails and burning off some calories, Patrick Horning raced for fun and to prep for his upcoming “Tough as nails Series” in Durham.

NYC Turkey Trot
Sue Bark and Jack Carroll represented in the big apple with excellent times and great races.

Family Turkey Trot

had a fun race with family and friends.
Janet Colman spent the holidays with her family and ran the  40th Annual Turkey Day Run and Gobble Wobble 2017 in Charleston Sc with a time of 32:39.
Jen Barker took 3rd AGE in the trophy trot in Raleigh!

Black Friday Dash
Matt Janik got back out there and clocked a very strong time of 20:43. Great work Matt!
Level 1 Coach Maleia Tumolo took 2nd in AG with a solid 22:49 time. Right behind her was Myra Rasmussen taking 3rd in AG with a 23:18.
Mary Lessard had a big PR, 24:32. Way to go Mary… so close to sub 24.
Kelly Moore also had a new 29:16
Camillie McKeon ran straight to a 30:00. Way to go Camillie.
Anthony Enoch ran with Ironman finisher Lauren Stephenson (32:45) and pushed himself to a 32:43. Nice work both of you!
Katie Elzer-Peters ran a double header and double 5k and dashed her way to a new PR. Congrats!
Carrie Cheatham had a blast and ran strong, 38:06.
