TRI SEASON is here and WOL rose to the challenge

 

St. Anthony’s

Coach Matt took 8th overall with his best performance at the St. Anthony’s Olympic Triathlon!

White Lake Half Triathlon
Lawrence Landrigan had a very solid race and placed 9th overall and 4th in AG with a great time of 4:54:27. Impressive performance off 10 hour training weeks.
Shawn Rhodes came in 1st in AG with an awesome time of 5:01:29. Congrats you two!

White Lake International Triathlon
Without Limits athletes rocked this race and swept the podium awards. Our very own Coach Aaron Kolk was 2nd overall with a speedy 2:19:26 time! Not far behind him was Kyle Shepard at 2:26:19 and placing 2nd AG 45-49. From there, WOL athletes flew across the finish line one after another:
Mark Dillon 2:38:38 – 2nd AG 40-44
Walt Greer 2:40:02 – 3rd AG 40-44
Erin Green 2:40:49 – 1st AG 35-39
Patrick Horning 2:41:34 – 4th AG 50-54
Brent Manley – GV Coach 2:46:29
Justin Prevette – 2:58 (a 21 min PR!), 1st in Novice Division
Don Marcum – 4th in AG 60-64. Great job Don (first international distance)
Eileen Gonzalez – 3rd in AG and had a well executed race
Erin Jackson – 4th in AG with a strong bike and run
Lesly Jurado – 3rd in AG and top 10 OA swim

White Lake Sprint
Nick Monroe set a goal and conquered it! He completed his first OW sprint Tri with confidence and ease. Congrats on your finish.
Jennifer Barker came in 3rd OA and cruised through with a great run split!
Corey Maarschalk placed 1st in AG 30-34.
Jo Morgan came in 1st in Novice and she’s officially hooked! Awesome work Jo.
Massimo Crudeli placed 3rd in AG with 1st only being :40 seconds faster. It was a very tight AG, nice work!
Andrea Milman had a great race and it was her first open water swim.  Way to go girl!
Todd Roen placed 5th in AG 55-59, great job!

MB XTERRA
Jose Gonzalez had a great time and performed well at his first XTERRA, congrats!

Carolina Cup
Katie Elzer-Peter said she had a blast on her paddleboard at the Carolina cup harbor island race. What a fun way to workout, build strength and enjoy the sunshine.

Tarheel 10 miler (double down)
Phillip Davis took on the challenge of both the 10 and the 4miler beginning is preparations for Swedman.
Charles Buckland had 2 great performances while in ultra training mode for Comrads! Great job.
Diana Davis PRed by 11 minutes in the 10 miler!

Coastal Master’s Invitational
Congratulations to our Without Limits members who competed in the Coastal Masters Invitational. Outstanding swims were thrown down by both first-time and veteran meet-goers. Larry Cheng, Lesly Jurado, Beth Brampton, Tami Krupp, Jack Carroll, and Lisa Deputy. Way to represent

Cary Du Classic
Jennifer Barker tackled the course and did very well! You are a TRI star. Congrats girl

Grand Viduta Stage Race
Kelli Nolan Kerkhoff and Coach Maleia had quite the adventure running muddy trails for 3 days totaling 43 miles in the mountains of Huntsville, Alabama. Way to Embrace the Challenge and have fun.

Shout out to Allison Shofe and Mary Lessard for running an all out 1-mile race at the WOL City Wide Track Meet.  That takes guts

Props to Peyton and Brittany for hitching a ride down to Myrtle Beach for what looked like a FAST 5K and 10K.  Peyton took 4th in both and Brittany took 6th.  Erin Hogston also locally won the 5K for Autism but the course was short.  Short race season is here!
