Marcy and Allie both won their age groups at the Bill Craig 5K within their 12 mile run!marcy

Bryan Haas PRed at the Durham Half Marathon with a 1:36 – 6 min PR and that was 12 hours after returning from Paris!  He just beat the Jet Lag!  Awesome work Haas, we miss you here in ILM. Shawn Horton also PRed up in Durham with a 1:44!  Keep it up Shawn.  Anthony Enoch continues his half marathon streak and weight loss success!  Great work Anthony!

Remote Asheville Athlete, Genie Griffin, placed 3rd OA Female at the Jingle Bell Leap 5K!!  Way to go Rockstar and in the middle of marathon training having some fun.  Happy Holiday Genie!IMG_16921

 

Kiawah Island Half Marathon produced some awesome results:  Chad Towne posted a 6 min PR breaking the 2:00 hr half marathon barrier;  Erin Jackson posted a 2 min PR nailing 1:45!   Lindsey Hess ran a solid race at sub 1:40 and Congrats to Mark Austin on using this as an education and execution event 🙂   And for running super close to that 1:30 time again.  Congrats Rockstars on a super fun running day.   John Cockrum runs a PR half at Kiawah.  The course was a hair long and he almost broke 1:30.  Nice work man on a muggy winter morning.  You’ve come along way, be proud 🙂  Right with him was Shawn Wellersdick PRed with a 1:31 and Chris Pope 1:31 and Brian Causey 1:31.

 

In the FULL – Johan du Pisanie Qualified for Boston with a 3:36PR and Tracy McCullen has got his fingers wet and ALMOST got his BQ with a 3:47 PR.  Considering the abnormally warm temps for December (mid 70s) these guys did great!

 

It was Jingle Bell Rock for Christie Tucker as she took home the AG award at the Jingle Bell 5K!  Way to sc12376734_10153212438496860_4394344001109866959_nore some hardware Christie.  Pam Keenan and Liz Downing ran together and super strong with Liz posting a PR and Pam helping her along the way.   Congrats Pam on some super fun speed work heading into Disney.  Jennie Mott has been training hard and its showing, she rocked out another 5K and the Jingle Bell 5K.  If you see her give her a high 5 as she’s been shedding the weight, 20 lbs to date.  Shannon Haggerty places top 5 in her AG and runs her 5K at a sub 10 minute pace!  Way to go runners.

 

Alecia Williams won her age group at the 2015 Jingle Bell Run – another Boston training cycle for Alecia!  What a year!

Allie ran the mile at 3K at her first indoor track meet of the season and had a solid workout!

Hilly Huntersville Half!  Congrats to Harrison Brown for joining the half marathon ranks and posting a Top 10 Finish at his first half marathon with a 1:24.   His buddy, Shawn Rhodes posted his first sub 1:30 after training for 3 months in chilly Green Bay, WI and now in the heat of TX.   Taking home 1st in AG!  Way to go guys!

 

Caroline Kratz headed to Santa’s Tune-Up Meet at the GAC putting in 5 events with some TOP 3 finishes in her AG.  She broke :59 seconds in the 100yd Free too!  She’s prepping for USMS Nationals in April!
12370700_1225927657423211_547056279506824790_oJenny 2.0 competed USMS Zones Champs last weekend almost breaking 20 minutes in the 1500m.  PR in the 200IM, 100 Free, and won the 200 Back.  Way to go Jenny, swimming strong and having some fun with distance!
