Tri Span

Record temps did not stop these folks from jumping in the 34th annual Tri Span 10K and 5K.

Jaime Whitmer – 1st place overall PR 16:22
Ashley Frank- 1st place AG win!
Sue Bark – 10K
Shawn Horton – 10K
Dakota Fosky – 5K
Anthony Enoch – 10K 10 min PR over last year
Nick Monroe – 10K
Lynda Brady Smith – 10K
Walt Greer- 2nd place AG – 5K
Susan Shafer taking 3rd in AG

Guess who hits the podium at Tri Span Rockstar Susan Shafer taking 3rd in AG and Sue Bark taking 2nd AG. Hills, heat, and humidity have nothing on them. Woo Hoo!

The Bear
The name alone is enough to scare anyone away, but not Genie Griffin. The Without Limits mountain athlete conquered The Cub and now The Bear. Hills are her friend!! Way to go Genie.

Williamsbury Rev3 Olympic Distance
Who gets a 28 min PR in an Olympic?? What?? Well, Lori Drake does, as she continues her quest to be fast and furious this year. What’s even better than a 28 min PR, is having your best friend racing with you and scoring some PR points herself. Ryan Redd takes on the Williamsburg Tri and conquers the heat. Congrats Ladies on a super fun day!

Lady Liberty SharkFest Swim
It’s so race to find that one athlete that is so giving and would be out there helping anyone at anytime. You can always find her with a smile on her face and a caring word for anyone, but it’s time to bring her to the spotlight! Katherine Cammack won first in her AG in the NYC Hudson River swim! Swimming is her passion and you can always find her in the channel, but she took on the Hudson and won! Keep your passion and that brilliant smile! It lights up our days.

Congrats to Patrick Horning and his wife Tanya as they check off another 5k on their quest to run one in all 50 states. They did the “Brain Freeze 5k” in vermont. This race consist of running 1.6 miles, eat a pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, running another 1.6 miles. Fun and crazy. Then next day they ran a relay half marathon in New York and place 4th in the relay division. Love this family and enjoy watching their adventures unfold.

Scream Half MArathon
Shawn Wellersdick is really making huge gains with a 1:25 half marathon (6 min PR)
Phillip Davis was COACH of the weekend up at the Screem helping his Wife Diana and Kathleen Lawless breakthrough on what she though was going to be a tough day.
Ryan Hilton ran a 1:37 good training day for her Chicago marathon and got 3rd overall AG
Kathleen Lawless does it!! Breaking 2 hours for the first time and Diana Davis (1:54:55) score a PR and wins first AG!! With solid pacing from Phillip  they were the team to beat. Congrats everyone on an awesome day!
