Racing from Coast to Coast and loving to TRI.

“The expert at anything was once a beginner”.

Our athletes have really stepped it up another level this month. Racing from Coast to Coast, we welcomed first time Triathletes who rocked their first races and watched seasonal athletes surpass their goals and challenge themselves to push harder than before. Congratulations to all our amazing WOL athletes near and far.

River Lights Triathlon
WOW IT WAS HOT! Our very own Coach Tom took 1st overall and admitted that it was the hottest race he’s done in quite some time. Harrison Brown also pushed through the heat and placed 4th overall. Jennifer Barker is a rock star and placed 2nd OA and 2nd in her AG. She had a great strong race. Lawrence Landrigran took 4th overall in his tough AG 35-39, along with Ty Rabon taking 3rd in his AG 40-44, way to race team! Ed McDermott and Kyle Shepard took 1st and 2nd in AG 45-49. We love it when our awesome athletes race together and push each other to podium finishes. Tom Lankford snagged 3rd in 50-54 and looked so strong out there. Cate Piech had a super swim and battled out the heat on the run! She had a great race. Massimo Crudeli also raced strong in a tough AG, way to go! Both Lori Drake and Sue Bark brought home a Bobblehead at the Cape Fear River Lights Duathlon!!  Duathlons are fun too.  Awesome job Rockstars.

Even though it was intensely hot, it was still good training at a great course! Congratulations to all our HOT athletes.
