Congratulations to Becky O’Daniell, Level II “Yoda” Athlete of the Month

Becky has tackled her resistance to swimming and is working hard towards her goals of tris for the year.  She has surrounded herself with an awesome and inspirational team and she WILL get it done.

Nick Frank finished a 9 mile training run with Level 1 through Landfall as they prepared for upcoming spring races!  These athletes have been so dedicated and consistent, and they will enjoy the results.  Frances White is running her 6th Wrightsville Beach half marathon. Despite a full schedule, which includes traveling on the weekends to be a primary caregiver, she stays active and enjoys the races!

What defines the WOL Level II “Yoda” athlete of the month you ask?

Don’t try. Do.

“Do or do not… there is no try.”

When you say that you will do something there is more determination and power behind that decision. When the inevitable obstacles that always show up start to block your path you are determined. You will do this.

Overcome your fears.

“Named must your fear be before banish it you can.”

Overcoming your fears is one of the most important things to improve yourself and grow.  Well, first, as Yoda says, you have to stop avoiding your fear. You have to think about it and see what is you really fear.

Your world is a reflection of you.

“You will find only what you bring in.”

You find in your world what you bring into your world.  By observing the world around you can gain insights into yourself and what you may need to improve.
