Wilmington athletes started 2018 off with fireworks, AG wins and new goals for an incredible year!

Beethoven 15K
Leah Blakeley had a HUGE PR of 14 minutes!!!! Her awesome 1:24:16 time really shows that all her hard work is really paying off!  Congrats!
Trisha Bennett came in strong and had a great time of 1:47:25 on wet and rainy course. Way to push through and stay focused. 

Austin Half – Congrats to Shannon Maus for another half marathon finish

Miami Half Marathon and 5K -Anthony Enoch adds another one to the list!

SOUTHERN TOUR 50K

Coach Maleia took 2nd overall female and posted a PR of 01:16:37
Kyle Shepard completed his first ultra.  Kyle literally decided 4 weeks before.  He learned a lot and did awesome!
Todd Fisher Endurance Team athlete also finished the 50K

SOUTHERN TOUR RELAY
Congrats to team Monkey Butt for winning the overall gross and handicapped net time!  9 out of the 10 runners were Without Limits Endurance Team athletes!

Carolina Beach Half Marathon and 5K
5K Finishers
Jennifer Barker ran strong and smart and placed 5th overall Female and 1st in AG! Way to take it easy and do well!!
Susan Shafer placed 2nd in her AG and made it part of her long run day. Congrats Shafer and way to have fun while training.
Coach Maleia placed 3rd overall Female and 1st in her AG. Way to represent coach!!
Beth Brampton had a great race and came in 1st in her AG and loving the trails.

Half Marathon
Jo Morgan took 3rd in AG and is getting ready for the Umstead Marathon!! This race proved you are well on your way to being ready.
Our very own Coach Tom won 1st overall and cruised through the race in his snazy flannel attire.

Polar Bear Ride 100K
Lesly Jurado conquered the cold with a hilly bike race just outside Charlotte. She’s getting ready for her full Ironman coming up in May! What a fun way to train Lesly!

Disney Dopey Challenge (5K, 10K, 13.1, and 26.2 – 4 race, 4 days, 4 parks)
The Dopey Challenge is no easy feet, but Pam Diefenbach and Leslie Payne completed it with flying magical colors! Congrats to you both!
Pam KeenenLynda SmithChristy Tucker complete another marathon! Excellent runs Ladies.  Pam wrote a blog on her facebook page wrote “One of my hardest races but super proud to finish strong and receive my medal. My time was 4:51 not even close to a Personal Best but I think I fought harder for this one”  Pam negative splitted her first marathon and she did it after a lot of cross training after her last race since her Achilles flared up.  What a fun accomplishment to have WITHIN a race.

Military Run
Jami Ash – won the female division for Military with a 1:45 training run for Boston.  Way to go Jami and your big year of Boston + KONA

Houston Marathon
Anthony Enoch
doubled it up with a 5k and Half Marathon in Houston and wasn’t phased at all by the weather. “It’s just a thang playboy!”
Kelli Kerkhoff brought home a big PR! Way to go Kelli with an awesome 3:33 time. What an incredible marathon.

USATF
Alice Kassens
received her 2018 Masters LDR Individual Grand Prix award for 2nd place! We are all so very proud of you, way to go! “Couldn’t have done this without your help! Look what came in the mail today!”

Nassau, Bahamas Half Marathon
WOL Ladies Frances White, Regan Simmons, Carrie Cheatham, Chris Bean, and Lauren Stephenson enjoyed the warm sunshine during the peak of winter for a great Half Marathon! Everyone ran strong, happy and HOT!

Congrats to Cam Simmons for getting in the 45 degree water with skibbys!
